Field Work: Discovery as a Teaching Tool

J.D. Willson, University of Arkansas biologist and assistant professor of biological sciences, takes us with him to Woolsey Wet Prairie Sanctuary where he and his graduate students are studying the effects of conservation efforts and habitat sanctuaries on wildlife. Here, in their outdoor research lab, they have found the rare Graham’s crayfish snake is thriving, 60 years after it was last seen this far north.
